Launched
in 1996, Prime Time Magazine
is the largest children's magazine per issue in the UK, reaching
200,000 children twice annually.
Prime
Time offers advertisers the three-fold
benefit of attracting the attention of children through
its activity pages, attracting the attention of the adult decision
maker through its editorial, and providing a credible environment
in which to be seen.
NEWS
FLASH: The September 2003 magazine will be published in two seperate
editions: one for boys and one for girls. This gives sponsors
an unprecidented opportunity to target based on both age and gender.
PROFILE Prime Time is an A4 format, full-colour, sponsored activity magazine designed specially for young children and their parents. Prime Time is distributed bi-annually, to 5-6 year olds in the autumn and 8-9 year olds (Key Stage 2) in March. Prime Time gives sponsors the opportunity to promote their message through fun-packed, stimulating, interactive content that is both fun and educational for its recipients. Prime Time Magazines are completely FREE to schools, children and parents. Only schools that have registered with us will receive the magazines, ensuring that your message hits its target accurately, and with no waste. All inclusions in Prime Time must fulfill our ethical marketing criteria. This guarantees positive and valuable content for the children, and maintains the enthusiasm of parents, teachers and schools for the programme. It also sends a strong message about your brand to both parents and children: If you are in the bag, you are right for children! Previous Prime Time participants have included: K'NEX, Quaker, Cereal Partners, Prittstick, Tetra, UCI, California Prunes, Biro Bic, Royal Mail, RSPB, Campbell, Crayola, Bernard Matthews. CONTENT Our experience has demonstrated that interactive content (as opposed to static ads) is both more appreciated by parents, and more effective in increasing brand recall in children. Therefore, we will only accept artwork that is interactive, educational and fun (e.g. crosswords, puzzles, competitions etc.), although coupons and inserts are accepted. If you need any help or ideas for suitable content, just ask! We'll be happy to help. In addition to commercial sponsorship, Prime Time Magazine has also been chosen by non-profit and governmental organizations to promote various educational messages through its editorial section. Contributors have included: the Child Accident Prevention Trust, the Tidy Britain Group, the National Association for Primary Education (NAPE), as well as senior government ministers.
